Daytime Emmys 2018: The Most Memorable Moments

The 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards got off to a bang with an elaborate dance number that started things off high-energy, but naturally, that was going to ebb over the course of a long three-and-a-half hour broadcast. Still, there were plenty of memorable moments from this year’s Daytime Emmys that included all of the classic clips from previous ceremonies going all the way back to the very beginning where it was held outdoors. They also had some footage of a particularly awkward song-and-dance number from the ’80s. But it was a thrill to see all the old clips from ALL MY CHILDREN, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, AS THE WORLD TURNS, and GUIDING LIGHT as well as those from the still-airing THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, GENERAL HOSPITAL, and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS.

We’ve selected some of the most memorable moments from this year’s Emmy ceremony that include an adorable dog (just one this year as opposed to last year’s unmanageable swarm!), a classic TV reunion, honoring Emmy history, some cheers and tears, and strong words about why soaps are so important and should continue to be.
