The 2023 Daytime Emmy Awards have been rescheduled! After the Creative Arts and Childrens Emmy Award ceremonies were given new dates, the main Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony has now been scheduled to be held on Friday, Dec. 15, at 9 p.m. ET! “We are pleased to set this new date with CBS for the Daytime Emmys to celebrate our golden anniversary,” said Adam Sharp, president and CEO of NATAS, adding, “We know the loyal fans of daytime television have waited patiently to properly honor and recognize all of the deserving nominees and we look forward to the celebration we have all been waiting for.”
The 50th Anniversary Daytime Emmy Awards were originally scheduled for Friday, June 16, with the Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmys being held the following day. However, due to the WGA strike earlier this year, the ceremonies were postponed and it was months before any news came from NATAS as to when they would be held.
On Nov. 7, it was announced that the 2023 Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards ceremony would be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 12 p.m. PT/ 3 p.m. ET, with the Childrens & Family Emmys the following day on Sunday, Dec. 17. This led fans to suspect — and hope! — that the main ceremony would once again fall on the Friday kicking off Emmy weekend, and thankfully, that did turn out to be the case!
The Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmys will be streamed live on both watch.theemmys.tv as well as The Emmys apps, but the main 2023 Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will once again be aired live on CBS starting at 9 p.m. ET on Friday night! Don’t miss it!
