Hollywood was shaken when veteran actor Orson Bean was killed on Feb. 7 after being struck by a car. Although well-known for his appearances on stage and screen, he was beloved by the cast of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as the husband of actress Alley Mills (Pam). (Bean also made a comedic guest appearance in an episode back in 2016, though he didn’t work with his wife.) So the cast and crew of the soap were hit hard by this loss. “Rest In Peace Mr. Orson Bean and thank you for all you gave to this world,” shared Reign Edwards (ex-Nicole) on Instagram. “May God’s love encompass you, Alley, and your family. Thoughts, love, and prayers are with you, Alley.”

Instagram "It is incredibly sad and shocking to hear what happened to Orson Bean. He was walking across the street last night and was struck by a car. So devastating! My heart goes out to his wife, Alley Mills, and their family. Orson was such an amazing man! He was a brilliant actor! And so kind to everyone. Always so positive and energetic and charming. He still had so much life and love to give. We were just at the play Bad Habits two weeks ago laughing and enjoying both Alley’s and Orson’s amazing and funny performances. We had many laughs. I hope that you are happy up there dancing in heaven Orson! We will miss you. You are loved! And Alley, we are here for you always🙏💖🙌🏻" -

Orson was one of them, and you knew it within seconds of shaking his hand. All my love to Alley Mills on this day of profound loss." -

Alley and Orson always laughing and making other people laugh... he was one of those people who just genuinely seemed happy and full of life and freaking funny man! And just a good, sweet dude all around... Genuinely thankful that you touched my life even for a brief moment in the 91 years you touched everyone else’s... All of our love, thoughts, prayers go out to you Alley and the rest of the family... Make em laugh up there... ❤️" -

Barry King/FilmMagic "Orson was “the real deal”. A gentleman with the biggest heart, a devoted artist whose skill at 91 could outshine the brightest 20-year-old, and a clown whose truth and love of life will inspire me forever. But above all, he shared the most true, pure, and beautiful love with his Queen, Alley Mills Bean. Orson, you will be missed beyond measure. The swiftness with which you have left us is breathtaking, with an impact that only you could create. We will do our best to hold your dear Alley until you both meet again." -

Instagram "My heart is broken for my dear friend Ally Mills and her family. Orson bean was an incredible actor but I always knew him personally as Ally’s dear husband and love of her life. It was an honor to spend time with them and get a front-row seat watching the joy they brought to each other. Ally, we love you and are here to love you through this heartache. My condolences to all of Orson's family and friends and all who loved him. On-screen and off." -

Instagram It’s taken me several days to even begin to come to terms with this. I don’t even know the words. "Orson was probably one of the funniest and most enlightening people that I was lucky enough to have spent many occasions with. I loved asking him questions because his answers were nothing less than always charming. His acting superb, his endless appearances on Johnny Carson to all the early game show panels he was on. He always kept me in stitches. This is how I’ll forever remember you. RIP my friend." -

Instagram "I am so saddened by the tragic loss of my good friend, Orson Bean, this past weekend. He was truly one of a kind, he had such character and wit that when he entered a room everyone stopped and noticed. I have been lucky enough to work with his wife, Alley Mills, since 2006 so I became close with him over the years. Two weeks ago I watched him in his last performance, “Bad Habits.” He was as vibrant as a 20-year-old up on the stage, I was so proud of my friend. He made you laugh so hard that you cried, the audience adored him. "Beyond being the wonderful actor that we all knew him to be he was an amazing husband, a kind gentleman & an honest man. I watched their relationship and thought they were an inspiration for all of us. His love & kindness made Alley shine with a smile so big it was infectious. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to say goodbye to that kind of love. My heart goes out to all of his family during this difficult time. Goodbye, my beautiful friend! Rest In Peace, Orson! I will never forget how you made me laugh!"
