Y&R’s Rory Gibson Is Engaged to Alicia Ruelas
Congratulations are in order for THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Rory Gibson (Noah), who is engaged to marry Alicia Ruelas! The actor posted a few shots from the Hawaiian proposal, including the warm embrace after putting the ring on her finger, the couple walking back up the beach all smiles to be engaged, and then a closeup of the double diamond engagement ring. A man of few words, his caption was simply a heart emoji followed by a fire emoji and a diamond ring emoji.
Gibson popped the question on Makena Beach in Maui, which is also known as Secret Cove due to the fact that the lovely vista is hidden from the road by a large stone wall. Ruelas, who is a successful print model, shared some of her own photos from the day her beau popped the question on her own Instagram account and enthused: “Ahh! I’m going to be future Mrs. Gibson! I’m in shock!”
Gibson became the latest actor to play the role of Noah Newman on Y&R when he joined the cast in October 2021, taking over for Robert Adamson. And while on the soap, Noah has had quite the rocky love life — he recently fell head over heels for Allie only to have his sketchy ex, Audra, show up in Genoa City! — his portrayer has clearly found the love of his life.
Ruelas and Gibson have been together for 11 years and celebrated their 10th anniversary as a couple back in May 2021. It looks like a beautiful beachside proposal, popping the question in the light of the setting sun as the waves crashed against the shore.
