A Special Tribute to Daytime Legend Elizabeth Hubbard

Daytime icon Elizabeth Hubbard passed away back in April and now The Locher Room is holding a very special tribute to the late actress with a special show on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 3 p.m. ET.

Joining host Alan Locher to share memories, moments, and what they learned from working with the Emmy-winning actress are two of her biggest fans and AS THE WORLD TURNS co-stars, Martha Byrne (Lily) and Scott Bryce (Craig).

Hubbard’s daytime career kicked off with her role as Anne Fletcher on GUIDING LIGHT, after which she joined THE EDGE OF NIGHT as Carol Cramer. Her breakout role was to be Dr. Althea Davis on THE DOCTORS, which earned her the very first Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress ever handed out.

Following THE DOCTORS’ cancelation, Hubbard recurred for a while in the early ‘80s as Estelle Chadwick on ONE LIFE TO LIVE before debuting as the iconic Lucinda Walsh on ATWT in 1984. Between then and the CBS sudser’s final episode, she earned eight more Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her work.

Byrne and Bryce will have a lot to talk about, so be sure to join in and bring your own questions for them as they’ll be answering them throughout the hour. Don’t miss it!

And don’t forget to check out The Locher Room’s YouTube channel to see all the other fun live chats with soap stars you might have missed! The YouTube shows are also available as audio podcasts and can be found wherever you listen to podcasts on Amazon, Apple, Google, iHeartRadio, Spotify, and Spreaker.
