Kate Mansi and Billy Flynn Leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Another pair of characters will exit Salem stage left now that Billy Flynn (Chad) and Kate Mansi (Abigail) are leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES. The two will reportedly last air in the episode scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 21. “You won’t wanna miss it,” Flynn tweeted of his final episode, adding the hashtag “#chabbyforever.”
Flynn took over for Casey Deidrick as Chad DiMera in 2014, and earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2017 for his powerful performances as Chad contemplated taking his own life. Although he assured fans back in May of 2018 that he was not leaving DAYS, it looks like the end has finally arrived.
Mansi’s run, however, was only ever meant to be short-term, as she reprised the role to help finish out the character’s story when Marci Miller left in 2018. Mansi played Abigail from 2011-2016, at which point Miller took over the part for a couple years.

Since Flynn and Mansi are both leaving in the same episode, perhaps the characters will be taking off together to live happily ever after with their daughter, Charlotte and son, Thomas? After all the drama these two have endured lately at the hands of Stefan DiMera and Gabi Hernandez, they certainly deserve a little happiness!
