Eileen Davidson Returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS

Tags:

Get excited, because Eileen Davidson is coming back to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as fan-favorite character Ashley Abbot at the end of March! Unfortunately, it’s just for two episodes, airing on Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1, so be sure not to miss them! (But hopefully this indicates that Davidson might be willing to return to the soap again in the future…)

Davidson originated the role of Ashley in June of 1982, and played it until 1988. The character was recast a couple of times, but Davidson returned to the soap to reclaim her role in 1999. So after all those years, Y&R fans were crushed when Davidson opted to leave the soap in order to spend more time with her family. However, even as she said her final goodbyes to the studio and her beloved friends in the cast and crew, there was still the tease of a return. “You never know,” the actress admitted at the time. Ashely was last seen in October of 2018 when she confessed to her scheme to take revenge on Jack and take over Jabot, then left for Paris to start her own company.

With Jabot in turmoil currently, will Ashley have something to say about Jack trying to take back the family business? Or might she be coming back to attend daughter Abby’s wedding to Arturo? You’ll just have to stay tuned to find out. And also if Davidson would be willing to continue reappearing on a recurring basis that might better fit her schedule!
