Muhney Confirms No Return To Y&R
Fans holding out hope that Michael Muhney would eventually return to the role of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Adam were disappointed when the actor dashed those hopes via Twitter. “Just got an official call,” he posted on Wednesday, August 13. “Although things got very close, I will not be returning to Y&R. That part of my life is over. Moving on…”
However, according to Y&R insiders there were never any negotiations going on between the show and Muhney about him returning to play Adam.
The actor also tried to offer his fans some comfort by posting a quote from Dr. Seuss: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
While Adam has been seen on screen lately, his face has never been shown because the soap still has yet to cast an actor in the role. And unfortunately now it appears that whoever fills Adam’s shoes, it won’t be Muhney. “I was hopeful for a return,” he also tweeted, “but now I’m hopeful for the future. Now you’ll just have to promise to tune in to my future projects!”
One of his future projects is the upcoming TV movie Correcting Christmas, co-staring Gloria Loring (ex-Liz, DAYS OF OUR LIVES), which we’ll have more information about as it comes in.
