Donny Boaz Cast as the New Chance on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS
Actor Donny Boaz has been cast as the new Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! The character has been mentioned a lot in recent episodes, but will finally be making his return to the screen in the flesh beginning in the episode scheduled to air on Friday, Nov. 8. “I signed a multi-year deal and have now been working on Y&R for six weeks,” he shared on Instagram once the news broke. “It’s been a fun and amazing ride so far. Easily the hardest fast-paced job I’ve ever had and it’s as equally rewarding. I feel so very thankful and grateful for this new journey.”
This will be Boaz’s daytime debut, but he has some primetime soap experience playing Bo McCabe on DALLAS from 2013-14. He also has numerous film and television credits including a recurring role on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS and the Lifetime movie Hometown Christmas.
Nina and Phillip’s son was most recently played by GUIDING LIGHT alum John Driscoll, and was last seen in 2011 when he left town to go take a job at the Pentagon. However, his name has surfaced quite a bit when Adam mentioned running into Chase during his time in Las Vegas, and he also has something to do with the new will of Katherine’s that surfaced giving Cane her fortune instead of Devon!
