Angell Conwell and Julia Pace Mitchell Return to Y&R for Neil’s Funeral
The end of April will bring the funeral of Neil Winters on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and the soap is pulling out all the stops to pay special tribute to the beloved character and his portrayer, the late Kristoff St. John. Both Julia Pace Mitchell (Sofia) and Angell Conwell (Leslie) will be reprising their roles for the special episodes slated to air on Thursday, April 25, and Friday, April 26.
Shemar Moore will also be reprising his role of Neil’s brother, Malcolm, for the episodes, and more stars from Y&R’s past will also appear as themselves in the special tribute episode to air on Monday, April 29. That includes Mishael Morgan (ex-Hilary) and Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla), who will both be paying their respects to their dear friend.
Conwell’s character of attorney Leslie Michaelson had a romance with Neil, but declined his marriage proposal. The last time viewers saw Leslie was back in 2017 when she was representing Juliet in her sexual harassment case against Cane. Michell’s character of Sofia actually did tie the knot with Neil after giving birth to his son, Moses, but that relationship didn’t work out and she moved away with their son.
