Joshua Morrow Reveals Why Nick Can’t Resist Phyllis on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS (EXCLUSIVE)
Nick and Sharon’s most recent wedding on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS ended in tears when the bride dumped the groom at the altar after announcing she knew he’d cheated on her with Phyllis! And Sharon wasn’t the only one angry at Nick for his philandering — Joshua Morrow admitted to Soaps In Depth that some Y&R fans also let him know they didn’t approve of Nick sleeping with Phyllis again! “But I actually think that makes the most sense,” the actor argued. “Phyllis has always been Nick’s Kryptonite. There is just something about her that he can’t shake. They kind of get each other!”
Longtime viewers know this isn’t the first time that Nick has cheated on Sharon with Phyllis. The two have been in and out of each others’ orbits through the years as friends, lovers, and everything in between. And their daughter, Summer, will always connect the two whether they like it or not. (To be honest, though, neither of them ever really seem to mind that much!) “They’ve found a way to turn that conversation into a flirty vibe between the two of them,” Morrow mused of the couple’s chemistry. “They’ve got a lot of history together — a lot of pain has come of that, but they’ve also had a lot of hot, good times!”
So while viewers — and Sharon — may not be pleased to see Nick go running back to Phyllis over and over again, they honestly should probably expect it at this point! “Fans hate it,” Morrow shrugged, “but it’s always made sense to me that he turns to Phyllis when things get a little funky with Sharon!”
