A lot can happen in a day in Genoa City, so it’s easy to get lost. If you’ve missed anything that happened over the last week or so on the soap, our THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS recaps can help you get back up to speed in no time!
After Rey walked out on her, Mia poked at Arturo’s relationship with Abby, leading to a catfight between the women! Meanwhile, a distraught Lola fled the Abbott cabin after witnessing Summer kiss Kyle. She sought advice from Abby, who urged her to fight for her man. Borrowing Abby’s coat, Lola went to the Abbott mansion. A drunk Mia spotted her, and believing she was Abby, pushed her in the pool! Thankfully, Kyle rescued Lola before she drowned — but not before she lapsed into a coma! Later, Mia freaked out when she realized what she’d done… and that her earring was missing! Lola’s condition worsened when doctors discovered her liver was damaged, and she needed a replacement ASAP! Summer tried to comfort Kyle, but he accused her of being behind the attack on his girlfriend. Fed up with the drama, Arturo banned Kyle from visiting Lola… which only forced him to sneak in. Arturo softened his opposition, however, when Kyle arranged for Mariah to publicize Lola’s desperate need for a liver donor. Although he was banned from investigating his sister’s attack, Rey interrogated Kyle and Summer. Not surprisingly, Summer thought Kyle had taken his suspicions to Rey, but that didn’t stop her from declaring her love for her former beau! Upon seeing the earring, Rey figured out that his wife was the culprit. Yet when he went to arrest her, she announced her pregnancy. A skeptical Rey demanded a pregnancy test, forcing Mia to befriend a pregnant woman to take the test for her. Despite “passing” the test, Mia worried about keeping up the lie!
The Murder Trial Began
Rey convinced Sharon to tell him the truth about J.T.’s death — then arrested her, Phyllis and Victoria! At the GCPD, Victoria hired Michael to represent her, while Sharon hired Brittany. Alone with Christine, Phyllis flipped on her cohorts by giving her physical evidence of the crime in exchange for immunity! Thanks to Phyllis’ information, Christine quizzed Mariah, who confirmed that there was surveillance footage showing the women disposing of J.T.’s body. Phyllis tried to keep her deal with the D.A. secret, but it became public knowledge when Christine announced that Phyllis was her star witness! Outraged at the betrayal, Nick broke up with her. Based on the evidence Phyllis had provided, the judge nixed bail for the remaining women. As the trial began, Victor blasted Christine for her opening statement and was booted from the court! Undeterred, Christine called Mariah, who tried to protect Tessa by not exposing her blackmail scheme!
In Other News…
Devon raced to the hospital to visit Lola and immediately had a panic attack, remembering Hilary’s final moments! Ana and Nate helped him overcome it and sit by Lola’s bedside, begging her to come back. Meanwhile, Jack, Kyle and Billy vowed to oust Phyllis from Jabot after her betrayal of Victoria, Nikki and Sharon. Sensing unrest, Phyllis asked Kerry for her support. Kerry agreed, which put her in a tough position — albeit a very powerful one — when Jack later asked that she throw her support behind him!
