Y&R’s Sean Dominic Learned a Valuable Lesson Bartending in a Comedy Club (EXCLUSIVE)
One of the most valuable lessons THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Sean Dominic (Nate) says that he learned about showbiz was while working as a bartender in a comedy club. “I watched these comedians go up in front of an audience every day. I took something from them — how to hustle in this business,” he shared with Soaps In Depth. “Only 2 percent of Screen Actors Guild members make enough to make a living. It’s tough! I put my all into it, and, thank God, some fruit is beginning to blossom from this tree!”
While Dominic may currently be plucking at the heartstrings on Y&R, he wouldn’t mind trying his hand at tickling the funny bone like the comedians he once watched. “I’ve always thought about doing comedy. I would put 100 percent into it, but I don’t know if I could do it,” he confessed. “To be an actor, you use experiences in your life and translate it to the screen. You show your humanity. But being a comedian is something else. It’s to not only be human, but show your humanity in a funny way. Few people can do it, and I admire the ones who can!”
