Miranda Wilson Set to Exit DAYS

Fans on Soap Twitter have been eating up the shenanigans between the twisted DiMera sisters Megan and Kristen on DAYS OF OUR LIVES — but the fun won’t last for much longer. The deviously delicious run of Miranda Wilson as Megan will be coming to an end in a few short weeks. The actress has confirmed that she will last air on DAYS in July.

The revelation came from Wilson herself in late May via Twitter, after some viewers wondered why they should bother caring about the character if Megan wasn’t going to be sticking around Salem for long. “Why not just ‘care’ about what’s happening here and now,” Wilson shot back. “Enjoy it while it lasts. Why hold back from enjoying the mayhem just because you know Megan’s leaving in July?”

Since DAYS films several months in advance, Wilson actually wrapped up taping back in December 2022, well before she even returned to the soap this past February (after reprising her character during last summer’s BEYOND SALEM spinoff). Many viewers quickly fell in love with Megan’s craziness as her scheming brought the DiMera clan to the forefront of the storytelling canvas, and comment after comment on social media were from fans hoping she would be a permanent addition to the soap.

Alas, that was not meant to be the case — at least for now. While her current run may be coming to a close, Wilson admitted on a Facebook group dedicated to Megan DiMera that she is keeping the door open to come back again. “If Megan resurrected once, she can resurrect again,” Wilson wrote. “Enjoy what unfolds.”

Furthermore, the actress wouldn’t mind signing a long-term deal with DAYS, either, should the opportunity arise. “I’m not on contract,” she told her followers.  “I would certainly consider it if asked.”
