Daytime Emmys 2020: Review the Supporting Actress Reels

As the Daytime Emmy Awards approach at the end of June, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has been releasing clips of the reels that the Blue Ribbon Panel will be using to determine the winners in each category. Today they posted the Supporting Actress clips so fans could see for themselves what each performer’s chances are.

GENERAL HOSPITAL‘s Tamara Braun (Kim) had plenty of meaty material to submit from the storyline surrounding Oscar’s death, and her episode showcases her emotional conversation with her son as he thanks her for being his mom while laying in his hospital bed. Fellow GH star Rebecca Budig selected the powerful scene where Hayden opened up to Finn and explained why she lied to him about his daughter, telling him the story of Violet’s birth.

Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie) submitted the heartbreaking episode of DAYS OF OUR LIVES where Doug and Julie celebrated their love as she feared that she was going to die. THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS‘ Christel Khalil (Lily) chose Neil’s funeral where Lily had a tearful breakdown as she spoke about her late father. And THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL‘s Annika Noelle (Hope) offered up the emotional show where Hope learned from Liam that their daughter had been stillborn.
