When Valentin Cassadine learned that Brook Lynn Ashton was pregnant with his baby, he decided to hire a bodyguard to protect her. Although the mom-to-be tried to dissuade him because she was afraid they’d learn she was faking this pregnancy, Valentin hired Yuri to watch over her. The Ukrainian bodyguard first appeared when he knocked on Harrison Chase’s door to interrupt his conversation with Brook Lynn. Annoyed, Brook Lynn introduced Chase to her bodyguard, and then complained to Valentin about the situation. The Cassadine reminded her he was a former WSB agent and people could want to harm him so she needs to do as Yuri says for her own protection.

Since then, Brook Lynn has been constantly ditching Yuri so she can secretly plot to switch babies with Maxie Jones. In the hopes of putting a stop to that, Valentin decided that he, Yuri, and Charlotte Cassadine would all move into the Quartermaine mansion to keep an eye on her. Of course, that didn’t really help, and when Brook Lynn slipped away again, Valentin warned Yuri to do a better job keeping an eye on his baby’s mother or he’d ship him back to Ukraine!

Stay tuned to GH to see if Yuri ever gets any better at his job or if Brook Lynn keeps making him look a fool!
