Ann Douglas on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL — Everything You Need to Know

Entertainment legend Betty White was on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as Ann Douglas for almost two dozen episodes from 2006 through 2009. But since some newer fans of the soap might not be aware of those sporadic appearances, here’s everything you need to know about her run on B&B!

While in therapy, Stephanie Forrester opened up about her struggles with her parents and Taylor Hayes urged her patient to talk to them about the abuse she suffered. Stephanie traveled to Chicago where she found her sister, Pam Douglas, caring for their elderly mother. When Stephanie brought up the abuse, Ann flatly denied it and insisted her daughter was just exaggerating her father’s discipline. Pam even took her sister’s side but when Ann stood her ground, Stephanie stormed out.
Eric Forrester invited Ann to visit them for Christmas and finally Ann admitted she knew about the abuse but was terrified to confront her husband. Stephanie appreciated her honesty and forgave her mother. Ann thought Eric was a wonderful man but thought Pam would be better with him, calling Stephanie damaged goods. Ann returned to Chicago, and Pam later went to stay with her a while after struggling with the new medication to treat her bipolar disorder.

In 2009, Ann made another trip back to Los Angeles and called her daughters to inform them that she was dying of pancreatic cancer. She refused to go to the hospital but agreed to stay with Taylor. When Ann had an episode, Pam called an ambulance against her wishes and Ann begged her daughters not to let her die in the hospital. So Pam and Stephanie took Ann to Paradise Cove where she peacefully passed away in their arms.
