Social media can be a great way for stars to connect with their fans, and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESSCourtney Hope (Sally) recently opened up on Instagram to share how he’s been struggling in recent days. “To be completely honest,” she posted, “my heart hasn’t felt its best lately. And that’s okay… there is a lot going on in this world as well as in our immediate ones.”

Hope also shared her own version of a video that her friend, fitness trainer Sydney Belina, posted to her own Instagram. “It really resonated with me… hope it speaks to you, too.” In the video, the actress poses with her adorable pups as captions featuring “Five things you need to hear today” flash on the screen.

First: “Important people come and go. That’s okay.” Second: “You can look at it as rejection or as redirection.” Third: “You define what fun is.” Fourth: “Sometimes you have to let other people down to make yourself happy.” And Fifth: “Your diet is more than just what you eat.”

Hope also wanted to remind everyone that “it’s okay not to always be okay.” Even if it seems like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel, this too shall pass and no feeling lasts forever. She also urged people to “be kind — most importantly to yourself. And remember, you’re not alone, even if sometimes it feels that way.”

So even as she continues her healing journey, Hope invites fans to join her. “Never forget, we always have the choice and the power to choose a better thought, choose a better feeling,” Hope declared. “Even if it’s something completely unrelated to what is bringing you down, as long as it feels good.

“Your healing isn’t measured by how long the good feeling lasts,” the Y&R star concluded, “it’s just about choosing to reach for better feelings and thoughts anyway in the midst of what seems like a setback, and eventually, in time, your reality shifts. Love you all.”
