Daniel McVicar Visits THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL!

It was a blast from the past when former cast member Daniel McVicar returned to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL! Although sadly, Clarke is not returning to the soap — it was just a friendly visit! “It’s Bucky!” announced the show’s supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, on Twitter, sharing a photo of them in the studio hallway. “Daniel McVicar made a surprise visit to B&B. So great getting a chance to hang with him today.”

By the way, “Bucky” was the affectionate nickname that Darlene Conley’s Sally Spectra called her hubby, Clarke, back in the day, in case that part of the tweet had you slightly confused!

McVicar originated the role of Clarke Garrison on B&B back in 1987 and played the fashion designer until his exit in 1992. The actor returned to the soap again in 1996 and appeared on a recurring basis until his final episode in August 2009. Naturally, B&B fans responded to the tweet with excitement at seeing the actor again, and expressed hope that perhaps Clarke might make a return to the soap at some point.

According to the IMDb, McVicar made his daytime debut back on NBC’s Santa Barbara in 1985 with an uncredited role as a security guard. He then went on to make appearances in primetime series like HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN, AND SCARECROW AND MRS. KING in the ‘80s. The actor can also be seen in TV Movies like A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story and Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story, where he played Rock Hudson. McVicar has also appeared in numerous Italian productions such as the TV series UN MEDICO IN FAMIGLIA and the film Fuga di Cervelli

McVicar may be keeping busy, but it would still be nice to see Clarke on B&B again… just for old time’s sake!
