Darin Brooks Reveals When He's Returning to B&B

It has been quite some time since viewers have seen Wyatt on-screen — September 2021, to be exact — but Darin Brooks is returning to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL very soon! The actor shared the good news during a recent episode of BOLD LIVE when one of the fans calling in to ask questions wondered if he was coming back to the soap. “Yes,” he confirmed. “We shot an episode the other day with the Spencer men. I don’t know when that’s coming up, that’s coming up soon.”

Given that soaps like B&B tend to shoot episodes about a month in advance, it’s likely that Brooks will be appearing on air again sometime in the middle of March. Unfortunately, it sounds like it’s just a brief appearance and not the beginning of a new storyline. “I hope to be back with a lot more,” Brooks assured the viewers. “But we’re having a blast. I miss you guys and thank you guys for being such fans.”

Even without working at B&B, Brooks still has a pretty full schedule with roles on the new animated series THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE and the upcoming AppleTV+ series AMBER BROWN… oh, and his beautiful new baby girl that he and wife Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) just welcomed!

It’s been so long since we’ve seen Wyatt and Flo on B&B that one fan jokingly asked if they were still engaged! Brooks admitted that he’s pretty sure they’re still enjoying their long engagement off-camera, and reported that he stays in touch with co-star Katrina Bowden (Flo) in real-life, too. “She’s traveling a lot,” he allowed. “She sent us congrats on the baby and all that stuff, so it’s very sweet.”

Of course, Brooks wouldn’t mind if a little drama got in the way of Wyatt and Flo’s trip to the altar once the characters return to the canvas. In fact, he’d love to rekindle the old Wyatt/Hope/Liam triangle! “Maybe there’s something there,” he mused. “I think that would be fun to revisit that storyline again. Because it was never really finished. Hope left and then it was like, Wyatt and Liam, and they kind of moved on from it. So I think it would be very interesting if we started to maybe get into that storyline a little bit. That would be kind of fun!”
