Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Returns to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL!
Her maternity leave having officially come to an end, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) reported to the soap’s set on April 29 to resume taping her character’s storyline. The actress — who gave birth to her second son, Lenix, on February 21 — announced her return in an Instagram story.
Sitting in a car with her hair done up in big waves and wearing a denim jacket over a black, lace-trimmed tank, Wood gave the camera a sultry stare as she revealed that she was reporting for duty. “Guess who’s back at Bold and Beautiful?” she teased. “This lady.”
On B&B, Wood’s pregnancy was incorporated into her character’s storyline in a Who’s The Daddy tale, as the Forrester exec fretted over whether she was carrying the baby of her current beau, Finn, or if she’d gotten knocked up as a result of a one night stand with former flame Liam. While a paternity test indicated that Liam was the father, it was later revealed that the results had been switched, and Steffy was, in fact, carrying Finn’s child. In a grand gesture, Finn rushed to propose to Steffy before she left town for Paris and shared with her that they were going to be parents. After Finn and Steffy explained the good news to her daughter, Kelly, an elated Steffy and her toddler did eventually head to Paris. Those scenes, which aired on March 11, marked Wood’s last appearance. But because the actress pre-taped scenes ahead of her maternity leave, Steffy’s storyline continued to air well after her portrayer had delivered her son.
Since the birth of little Lenix, Wood has been enjoying some family time. She’s shared some adorable photos of the newborn bonding with his big brother, 2-year-old Rise, and the family’s dog, Ja’ime. And the actress was even able to indulge in a child-free weekend with her husband, Elan Ruspoli, when the two headed to Miami to celebrate her April 17 birthday.
Although Wood did not indicate when she’d be back on screen, given the soap’s production schedule, it’s likely that Steffy will return to Los Angeles sometime next month. At least being out of the country means Steffy is in the clear as a suspect in Vinny’s hit-and-run death, so hopefully, it will be smooth sailing for Steffy and Finn as they plan their wedding. Unless the police start eyeing Finn as a possible killer! Stay tuned to find out!
