Rena Sofer Opens up About Sending Her Youngest to College

With only one of her three daughters still living at home, Rena Sofer (Quinn, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) admits she doesn’t get weepy at the notion of her youngest, Avalon, eventually going off to college in a handful of years. Considering she’s been a mom and step-mom for almost 30 years, Sofer understands that it’s a transition
worth appreciating.

“I’m really looking forward to the day that I get to be ‘Rena Sofer’ again and make decisions based on me, not based on where I have to get my kid that day and what time classes start and what tests or play dates they have,” the B&B star chuckled to Soaps In Depth.

Though the actress recognizes a certain wistfulness in friends who have watched their own children fly the nest, Sofer thinks she’ll take it in stride when that day comes. “That’s why you have kids,” she declared. “To raise them to be incredible people and go out into the world and do amazing things!”
