Jess Walton Reveals When She Learned She Was a “Star” (EXCLUSIVE)

Fans of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS may regard Jess Walton (Jill) as a daytime television icon, but the Emmy winner can recall a time when she was stunned to even be considered a ‘star.’ “I remember the day when I picked up the phone after I first got hired on CAPITOL. It was the publicity department for CBS and the person said, ‘You are one of our daytime stars… ’ I thought, ‘I’m a star? What? What’s going on here?’” the actress recounted to Soaps In Depth with a laugh. “My career seems to have all happened in the twinkle of an eye! I don’t know about being called an icon, but it’s very nice. It’s better than being called some other names!”
