Christopher Cousins Cast on Y&R as Alan Laurent!

Please join us in welcoming Christopher Cousins to the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. The soap has announced that he will be playing the role of Alan Laurent, a psychiatrist and friend of Ashley’s from her time in Paris. His multiple-episode run will begin with the episode airing on Tuesday, April 30.

Y&R is not Cousins’ daytime debut — Back in the ‘80s he appeared on ANOTHER WORLD and AS THE WORLD TURNS, in the early ‘90s, he played con man Cain Rogan on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, and he originated the role of Dante’s WSB physician, Dr. Kirk, on GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2020.

The actor will also be familiar to viewers from many of the other roles in his extensive resume including films like Wicker Park and The Grudge 2 as well as numerous television series like THE PRACTICE, ER, AMERICAN DREAMS, VANISHED, LIPSTICK JUNGLE, BREAKING BAD, GLEE, and UnREAL.

With Ashley suffering from dissociative identity disorder, she’ll definitely need the help of a professional. And also plenty of friends to support her! So hopefully, Alan will be able to get her back on track once again. Stay tuned to see how the story unfolds!
