Michael Mealor Looks Back at Lola and Kyle's Wedding (EXCLUSIVE)

Even though Michael Mealor (Kyle) had already waltzed down the aisle on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS when his alter ego married Summer, he told Soaps In Depth that couldn’t compare to Kyle’s next shindig! “Kyle and Summer’s wedding was short and small… while Kyle and Lola’s was amazing!” the actor shared with a grin. “They really gave me a nice soap opera wedding. I was blown away by the production and the set decoration. They did a great job, and I was really humbled by it.”

While large soap weddings can be fun, they can also be grueling to tape. “It was two full days, from 7 a.m. to about 7 or 8 p.m.,” conceded the faux groom. “But it was amazing, because the guy who played the priest was a wild card. He was full of energy and loved joking around. I was trying to be so focused and zoned in on Sasha [Calle, Lola], and he was joking in my ear the whole time! I was like, ‘Stay focused, Michael; stay focused!’ It was a fun day, but it took a lot of energy, for sure!”
