Mishael Morgan Returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!
If you’ve been missing Mishael Morgan on your daytime television screens, well, get ready because Amanda is coming back to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS very soon!
“So nice to be back for a few days,” the actress declared on Instagram, sharing a selfie of herself standing outside the CBS studios after a day of shooting (see above!). “I really missed you, Genoa City!”
While Morgan didn’t reveal anything about what possible storyline brings Amanda back to town, it could be legal matters, as Lauralee Bell (Christine) commented on her post that it was “a fun day” so the two attorneys may have been in scenes together.
Morgan was last seen on Y&R back in November 2022 when Amanda caught Devon and Abby having sex. She dumped him and left to go back to Virginia to be with her mother, who had fallen into a coma after suffering a stroke.
After becoming the very first black woman to win the Daytime Emmy Award in the Lead Actress category, Morgan announced that she was taking “a step back” from Y&R to focus on her family and explore new career options. She recently appeared in some episodes of NBC’s primetime drama CHICAGO MED and wrapped filming of her upcoming action movie.
Even when she exited Y&R at the end of 2022, Morgan assured fans that she was still on recurring status with the soap. “So you’ll still catch me in Genoa City,” she promised at the time. And the actress was part of Y&R’s big anniversary celebration and photo shoot, so it was only a matter of time before she visited Genoa City again.
