THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Is Preempted Today

As expected, the January 6 committee hearings into the assault on the Capitol Building have impacted the daytime schedule. News coverage of the second hearing has preempted THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS on Monday, June 13. However, CBS has announced that this will be a national preemption, and the episode will instead air on Tuesday, June 14.

Sometimes when a soap is preempted in only one time zone, it will air in the others, forcing fans in the affected area to have to seek out the episode online in order to stay caught up and not miss out on any of the drama. But because this is a national preemption now, viewers can simply tune in tomorrow where the action will pick up right where it left off on Friday. And don’t be confused if you see an old episode of Y&R airing on Monday instead, because CBS always does that for the time zones where the soap isn’t preempted by news coverage. But definitely make sure that you check your DVR for Tuesday because oftentimes, preemptions will cause the following episode not to record.

Soap fans never like it when news coverage interrupts their favorite shows, but it’s a fact of life, and there’s nothing that can be done about it. So just make sure you keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for all the latest updates to the schedule so you don’t miss a single episode!
