Over the years, Ashley Jones has starred in several made-for-television thrillers. Like Saving My Daughter, Homekilling Queen, and You Killed My Mother. And of course, daytime audiences have loved watching her as THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Bridget, GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Parker, and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Megan. But recently, the B&B star got to be on the other side of the camera when she directed her first film for Lifetime Movie Network!
Jones actually worked on the movie a whole year ago, and it’s just now making its way to television! Secret Lives Of College Escorts premieres this Friday, August 19, at 8 p.m. ET, as Jones excitedly shared on Instagram. “Here we go,” she wrote, including the LMN trailer for the movie. “you guys have all been so supportive of all the projects I’ve done! I’m so grateful! My directorial debut premieres this Friday night.”
Filmed under the previous title Sugar Mommy, the movie follows a young college student named Eve who sneaks out for a wild night of partying with her friends. But after one of the girls winds up dead, Eve loses her athletic scholarship and struggles to pay for her tuition. Meeting Carla, a successful event planner, seems like the answer to Eve’s prayers when she’s offered a job that seems too good to be true. And, as it turns out, it is — because the job is a front for the dangerous sugaring scheme that caused her friend’s death! Will Eve be able to get out before her own life is in danger?
Secret Lives Of College Escorts stars Pilot Paisley-Rose as Eve, Laurie Fortier as Carla, Briana Cuoco as Serena, and Chasty Bellesteros as Isabella. In addition to directing the film, Jones has a small role in the movie as well, playing Melanie. “What a ride this has been,” Jones enthused. “And I’m just getting started.”
