This summer, Web soap opera THE BAY continues to break new ground by taking their show on the road. “I like to describe it as THE BAY meets The Wizard of Oz,” explains the series’ creator/writer/director, Gregori J. Martin. “It’s kind of a prequel to season two, which will begin in late September.”

Titled FAR FROM THE BAY, the 8-episode prequel will debut in June and follows amnesiac Peter Garrett (played by Kristos Andrews) on his journey to The Big Apple to find Claire — played by AS THE WORLD TURNS’ Marie Wilson (Meg) — the woman whom he mistakenly believes is his mother. “He runs into all these characters that help him get one step closer to finding her — I cast a slew of veteran actors from daytime,” Martin previews. “And then we did the first ever Web soap crossovers with EMPIRE and STEAMBOAT.”

Look for familiar faces like ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Ilene Kristen (Roxy) and Tonja Walker (Olivia), ANOTHER WORLD’s Anna Holbrook (Sharlene), GUIDING LIGHT’s Michael O’Leary (Rick) and Miriam Colon (Maria), and ATWT’s Agim Kaba (Aaron) to appear. Find the show at
