DAYS Star Christie Clark Self-Isolates After Falling Ill

As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic continues to spread around the world, more and more people are getting sick and DAYS OF OUR LIVES actress Christie Clark (ex-Carrie) has shared her own personal story. “Woke up Tuesday with chills, fever, headache, body aches, and major sore throat,” she reported on Instagram. “Was in bed for three days zapped of energy.”

Clark, her husband, and their three daughters live in the U.K., and she admitted that while she and her husband are both sick, they have not been tested. “Can’t get tested unless you check in to hospital in the U.K.,” she explained. “A few people asked me why I haven’t gotten tested and that’s because the hospitals are rammed with people who actually need it. Nothing has been life-threatening for my husband and I.”

Despite not having the diagnosis confirmed, the actress is pretty confident that she and her husband do actually have the Coronavirus. “I’m 95% sure that I have it because my yoga teacher who came to our house just four, five days ago has it,” Clark revealed. But she assured fans as she said she assured her daughter that she was going to be fine, admitting, “I’ve had worse flu symptoms before.”

She was also grateful to her neighbor for stepping in and helping out with her kids since both parents in this family are ailing. “My neighbor saved my butt,” Clark declared. “This angel made dinner for us every night and left it on our door.” Then she suggested that family stock up on prepared meals, “in case two parents get it at the same time, which is what happened to my husband and me.”

Thankfully, by March 22, which was her sixth day after falling ill, Clark was feeling well enough to go for a walk in the fields by her home. “First three days was basically zombie land, barely out of bed,” she recalled. “Last three days, slight energy in the morning and then basically dreaming of bed from lunch onwards.”

Please join us in wishing Clark and everyone else who is ill a very speedy recovery. And for more on your favorite DAYS stars – past and present — keep reading Soaps In Depth magazine.
