DAYS Star Lauren Koslow Reunited With Her Long-Lost Son

In a plot straight out of a soap opera, DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Lauren Koslow (Kate) was reunited with her long-lost son, Josh! She shared the wonderful news on Oct. 31, and while introducing him to her fans on Instagram, also celebrated his birthday! “Happy Birthday, Josh,” she exclaimed. “Today, gratefully, joyfully, with never-ending love and a healing heart I can wish my firstborn, my son Josh, Happy Birthday.”

Although the actress did not get into too many details, she revealed that they were brought back together earlier in 2021 courtesy of fate and a DNA test. “We were separated three days after his birth and lost to each other for nearly a lifetime,” Koslow shared. “Earlier this year, across the unfolding of time and space, we were reunited. I give thanks to the mystery of the miracle and an Ancestry DNA match.”

Koslow, who also played Lindsey on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and Margo on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, is adding Josh to her family which includes her three children with her husband, Nick Schillace, Emilia, Milli, and Zachariah. “So here we are,” she concluded. “We begin again. To those of you still searching, never give up hope. Love finds a way.”

Koslow also shared a couple of quotes that related to her experience of being reunited with her child. First was “Recreate your life, always, always. Remove the stones, plant rose bushes, and make sweets. Begin again,” from Brazilian writer and poet Cora Coralina. And she closed with some words from American writer Alex Haley. “In all of us there is a hunger, narrow and deep, to know our heritage, to know who we are and where we have come from. Without this enriching knowledge, there is a hollow yearning. No matter what our attainments in life, there is a vacuum, an emptiness and a most disquieting loneliness!”

Fans and friends shared the love in the comments of her post, including some of her former co-stars. DAYS’ Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope) wished Josh a Happy Birthday as well, while Melissa Reeves (ex-Jennifer) and Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami) both marveled that the amazing story. And when Koslow’s former B&B castmate Daniel McVicar (ex-Clarke) wrote: Wow, Lauren, what a joy,” she responded: “Thank you, Dan… I feel so blessed.”
