Deidre Hall Shares a Heartfelt Message With DAYS OF OUR LIVES Fans
With DAYS OF OUR LIVES ending its 57-year run on NBC and moving over to Peacock on Monday, Sept. 12, the soap wants to make sure that the fans keep watching when it moves to the streaming service. Executive producer Ken Corday has already talked about how excited he is for this new opportunity, and now star Deidre Hall (Marlena) made a heartfelt speech directly to the fans in a new promotional video.
“You know, I’ve been on DAYS for more than 40 years now,” she said. “And you can’t be a part of something that long and just call it a job. We’re a family. And as our loyal viewer, I consider you to be part of that family. As you may have heard, DAYS is going to air exclusively on Peacock. Let’s make the transition together. We want you to come with us and continue our special journey.
“From all of the Hortons, DiMeras, the Bradys, the Kiriakises, the Price/Carters, the Hernandez, the Johnsons, and most definitely the Evans/Black family, we love you,” Hall continued. “And we’re so grateful for your ongoing support. So that said, I’ll see you Monday, Sept. 12 at our new home, Peacock.”
Fans were stunned by the news that DAYS would be leaving NBC and streaming exclusively on Peacock beginning in September, but the soap has been going out of its way to ensure everyone that it doesn’t mean that the soap is being canceled, and in fact, there are many aspects of this move that could actually be seen as improvements.
One thing that many longtime viewers have been upset about is having to subscribe to Peacock in order to continue watching DAYS once it leaves network television. Unfortunately, the soap will not be included in the shows available with the free tier, but during the month of September, Peacock is offering a special price discount for new subscribers, which will include all the DAYS fans eager to continue watching the drama unfold in Salem!
