Linsey Godfrey Opens up About Her Relationship With Breckin Meyer (EXCLUSIVE)
It takes some guts to try online dating, but when you’re both famous and a single mom, it’s tough to meet people any other way. Fortunately, a dating app for entertainment-industry professionals hooked up Linsey Godfrey (Sarah, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) with a winner in former FRANKLIN & BASH star Breckin Meyer.
“He was away filming in Toronto, so we spent about a week chatting on FaceTime for about four hours a day,” Godfrey confided to Soaps In Depth. “By the time we actually met in person, we felt as if we had known each other forever.”
It helped that Godfrey actually did know exactly who Meyer was beforehand, as years ago, she’d had crushes on his characters from the teen romps Clueless and Road Trip. Fortunately, it was the actor’s real personality with which she meshed as an adult. “Breckin and I are the same kind of weird,” she laughed. “I really love who he is and his heart and how he is with my kiddo. And I adore his girls. And they all like each other, which is sweet.”
When it comes time for Valentine’s Day, don’t look for the lovebirds to be out on the town. “We’ve been known to have dinner plans and cancel them to stay in and watch a documentary or boxing on TV,” Godfrey said. “We just like being together, so it doesn’t matter what we do.”
