DAYS Alum Lisa Rinna Opens Up About Her Secret “Thing” With Patrick Muldoon!
Dishing the dirt! DAYS OF OUR LIVES alum Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie) recently appeared on the podcast PEOPLE in the ’90s to reminisce about her time on the NBC soap opera as well as MELROSE PLACE — and ‘fessed up to a few crazy nights with her DAYS brother Patrick Muldoon (Austin)!
When podcast co-hosts Andrea Lavinthal and Jason Sheeler asked Rinna what her most “surreal” 1990s moment was, THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS star shared with a laugh that it was “having an affair with the guy who played my brother.
“Well, not an affair, but a couple of one-night stands with the guy who (played) my brother,” Rinna clarified. “Patrick Muldoon and I had, like, a thing.”
Rinna and Muldoon starred together on DAYS as Kate’s long-lost kids from 1992-’95. The fling between the TV siblings happened before the actress got involved with now-husband Harry Hamlin in 1992, she clarified on the podcast, so those one-night stands must have been pretty early on in her and Muldoon’s time in Salem. Both actors left after three years on the soap (although they reprised their roles several times in the 2000s for short visits) and soon moved on to primetime drama MELROSE PLACE: Muldoon as villain Richard Hart from 1995-’96, and Rinna as Taylor McBride from ’96-’98.
The PEOPLE in the ’90s podcast isn’t the first time that Rinna dished about her relationship with Muldoon. When Denise Richards (Shauna, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) joined the cast of RHoBH in 2019, Rinna revealed during her then-friend’s first episode that she “had a little fling with him at the same time” that her co-star “was having a little fling with him.” And neither one of them knew it!
Richards and Muldoon went on to date on and off for several years and still remain good friends. Rinna began dating Hamlin shortly after first meeting him in 1992, and they have been married for 24 years. So far, there has been no public response from Muldoon regarding his fling with Rinna.
