DAYS OF OUR LIVES Temporarily Suspends Production Due to Positive COVID Test

As the soaps resumed production with heightened security and protocols due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it was always a risk that an outbreak could shut them down again. And now Deadline is reporting that DAYS OF OUR LIVES has suspended production for two weeks after a member of the production team tested positive for COVID-19.

DAYS resumed production on Sept. 1, but because they had banked enough episodes to last them through October, this should not interrupt the new episodes that will continue to air. The cast, crew, and staff of the soap were notified of the temporary shutdown in an E-mail, and taping is slated to resume on Monday, Oct. 26. The person who tested positive has been placed in isolation and preliminary contact tracing has identified close contacts of the individual who will also be quarantined for 14 days.

The temporary shutdown of production is simply a measure to prevent further spread of the virus and hopefully, DAYS can get back to work as planned so that the drama in Salem will continue!
