Daytime Emmys 2020: Review the Lead Actor Reels

The Daytime Emmy Awards are fast approaching, so before the ceremony arrives and the winners receive their trophies, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is sharing clips from the reels submitted by the nominees in each category. Today they released a video showcasing the talent on display in the Outstanding Lead Actor race.

GENERAL HOSPITAL star Steve Burton (Jason) selected the episode where Jason tries to explain to Danny what’s going to happen now that his mother, Sam, is in jail. Thorsten Kaye (Ridge, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) submitted the scenes where Ridge blasted Brooke for destroying their relationship with her hatred of his son. Jon Lindstrom chose the GH where he played the dual role of twin brothers as Kevin confronted a captured Ryan.

Thaao Penghlis (Tony, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) chose the episode where Tony explains to Brady how he’d come back from the dead, and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS‘ Jason Thompson selected the powerful episode where Billy confronted his demons that were literally trying to kill him!
