Daytime Emmys 2021: Sheryl Underwood Named as Host!

As the Daytime Emmy Awards broadcast nears, preparations are underway for a spectacular show, and in addition to announcing the ceremony will air on CBS and revealing the list of nominees, CBS has just announced the host of the 48th Annual Daytime Emmys will be Sheryl Underwood!

Underwood is best known as one of the Emmy-winning hosts of CBS chat show THE TALK, but she’s also a big soap fan who has made appearances on both THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. In addition to her work in film and television, Underwood holds four honorary doctorates and hosts both Sheryl Underwood Radio and the podcast The World According to Sheryl Underwood.

This year’s Daytime Emmy Awards will be held on Friday, June 25, at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS, and will once again be held virtually due to the global coronavirus pandemic. And before you tune in to the ceremony, make sure that you’ve voted for your favorites to win in our special online Daytime Emmys poll!
