Daytime Emmys 2019: Watch the Ceremony Right Here!

The annual Daytime Emmy Awards were originally broadcast on daytime television, then graduated to primetime, but unfortunately, now the only way for fans to watch the star-studded ceremony is online via various streaming platforms. The show could be viewed on the KNEKT TV Network via the app available for your Apple TV, Roku, iOS, or Android device. You could also watch on the official Emmy YouTube page or directly on the official website at If you have a smart TV and the YouTube app, you could actually watch the Emmys on television like the good old days! In addition, both the official Emmys Facebook Page and the official Daytime Emmy Awards Facebook Page streamed the broadcast live along with the official Emmys Twitter and Daytime Emmys twitter accounts.

But if you weren’t able to stream it live, you can watch the entire ceremony right here! And although the show was initially only available in two separate videos due to the untimely interruption in the internet stream, NATAS has finally made the entire uncut broadcast available for viewing. So now you can see the categories that were not shown on Sunday night, including THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ wins in the writing and directing categories!

The very first Daytime Emmy Awards was broadcast from Rockefeller Center in New York City in 1974, and aired during the day. The first years the show wasn’t aired were 1983 and 1984, though the Daytime Emmys moved to primetime in 1991. ABC, NBC, and CBS all took turns broadcasting the show up until 2009 when The CW stepped in after no other networks wanted to carry it. The following two years the Daytime Emmys returned to CBS, though in 2012 it was broadcast by HLN. After an ill-fated online-only broadcast in 2014, the Daytime Emmy Awards returned to television in 2015 on cable network Pop. But the next year, the 2016 ceremony wasn’t aired anywhere but simply posted online for viewing the following day. But beginning in 2017, the Daytime Emmys were made available to stream on various social media and online platforms like YouTube for easier viewing. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely the show will ever return to television, so it’s good that the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is making it available on plenty of platforms for fans!
