GH Alum Sydney Mikayla Previews Her New Series!

Fans of GENERAL HOSPITAL grad Sydney Mikayla (ex-Trina) can look forward to enjoying the talented actress in another exciting new role. Although they won’t actually be seeing her, just hearing her voice! “So grateful to announce I will be voicing Soleil Le Claire in Dreamworks’ FRIGHT KREWE, premiering Oct. 2,” she announced on Instagram. “So excited for y’all to see my talented friends kill it!”

From creators Eli Roth and James Frey, FRIGHT KREWE is a 10-episode animated horror series for older kids that centers around a group of misfit teens who are granted special abilities by a voodoo queen in order to help save New Orleans from a tremendously evil threat. But saving the world might wind up being easier than becoming friends!

Mikayla left GH after three years in order to focus on her education as she attends UCLA. However, she does seem to be able to balance voice work with her studies as she can be heard voicing animated characters in series like TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK, DEW DROP DIARIES, and CRAIG OF THE CREEK.

The actress was also quick to note that by promoting her new series, she is not breaking any of the rules of the ongoing Actors Guild strike. “I am so grateful that Animation TV is covered under the SAG-AFTRA strike,” Mikayla noted. “I stand in solidarity with my SAG-AFTRA and WGA family at the picket lines.” And in fact, she has joined her fellow actors in picketing the major Hollywood studios as they await a new, fair deal.
