Ashley Jones Opens Up About Bridget’s Return to B&B!
Viewers who tuned in to the March 31 episode of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL got a surprise: Ashley Jones was back as Bridget! Appearing during the end of the episode in a phone call to her mom, Brooke, Dr. Forrester revealed that she was back in Los Angeles for a while and would stop by the house soon. But how long is a while?
Well, in the soap world, “awhile” could mean anything! And in sharing the news of her B&B comeback with her followers on Instagram, Jones made it seem like her most recent return may not have an end date. Set to the Pharrell Williams song “Just a Cloud Away,” Jones shared a video of her dressed in scrubs and a white lab coat, a stethoscope around her neck, as she stood in front of the iconic B&B logo at Studio 31 in CBS Television City. She simply captioned the video by tagging the soap and including her character’s name in a hashtag, but Jones revealed some additional information in the comments section as she interacted with fans.
When one poster asked if she was back to stay, Jones teased that viewers might have some input in that department. “That may be up to the fans,” she replied, adding a smiley-face emoji. To another fan’s question about how long she’ll be airing, the actress confessed, “Let’s see how long it lasts, but oh so fun.”
In other comments, Jones noted that “So much is up! The doctor is busy!” and that “next week brings some drama!”
The timing of Bridget’s return to work at University Hospital comes just as an unhinged Sheila attacked Steffy. Might Steffy soon end up under Dr. Bridget Forrester’s care? Jones didn’t divulge any storyline deets on Instagram but did tease that “anything can happen” and there is “serious drama ahead!”
Jones joined the cast of B&B in 2004, taking over the role of Eric and Brooke’s daughter. She exited the soap as a series regular in 2012 but has sporadically appeared on and off in the years since.
