Dr. Escobar on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL — Everything You Need to Know

If Dr. Escobar on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL looks familiar to you, you may have seen portrayer Monica Ruiz in the infamous Peleton commercial. She made her debut in the Feb. 7, 2020 episode as a physician who had to deliver some very unfortunate news.

Dr. Penny Escobar first called Sally Spectra to let her know her test results had come in, and the redhead later met with her at the hospital to learn the devastating news. The physician shared the diagnosis that left Sally with a month to live and urged her to take steps towards acceptance and assemble a support system. When Katie Logan, who was there to support Sally, asked if there was anything that could be done, Dr. Escobar said there wasn’t, but urged Sally to go ahead and seek a second opinion to be sure.

However, when Dr. Escobar tracked Sally down to talk to her about her condition, it was revealed that the whole thing was an elaborate charade that her patient had set up! Sally warned the physician to keep the lie going until they both got what they wanted. Wannabe fashion designer Penny to get an in at Forrester, and Sally, reunited with Wyatt! But a reluctant Dr. Escobar had second thoughts about the whole scheme and urged Sally to come clean before it was too late.
