What Happened to Julius on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL
Julius Avant made his debut on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL years ago, but as he was only a recurring character, some viewers might not remember all the drama he got mixed up in while on the soap. Actor Obba Babatundé played the role from July 2015 until he faded away in 2018, winning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Performer in 2016. Will Julius ever show up again on B&B? Only time will tell!
Julius Avant traveled to Los Angeles along with his wife, Vivienne, following their daughter, Nicole Avant, who was tracking down her sister, Maya Avant. Julius was not happy that his son, Myron, was transgender and now living as her true self, Maya, but promised he’d try to accept her given that she was engaged to marry the wealthy Rick Forrester. But at the wedding, he couldn’t hold his tongue and declared the whole thing a freak show, so he was kicked out of the mansion.
Months later, Julius moved to L.A. with Vivienne to make peace with their daughter, but he again had issues when he found out tat Nicole had agreed to be a surrogate mother for Rick and Maya. He even enlisted Nicole’s boyfriend, Zende Forrester Dominguez, to help talk Nicole out of it, but they failed. Then, Nicole’s childhood friend, Sasha Thompson showed up and it turned out she was the result of an affair that Julius had with her mother years ago. He tried to get her to leave town, but the truth soon came out and Vivienne was furious.
Eventually, Julius was able to get the whole family to agree to try and get along, and Vivienne decided to give their marriage another shot. Julian was perfectly happy to attend Nicole and Zende’s wedding, but later, when he learned his younger daughter might have been rendered infertile after giving birth to Lizzie, he basically blamed Maya for Nicole’s unhappiness. Learning of an error in the adoption paperwork, Julius tried to get Nicole to use that to get her daughter back, but with everyone else on the other side, Nicole did the right thing and gave Lizzy back to Maya and Rick.
Julius approved of Zende and Nicole moving to Paris for work, and happily attended the Forrester Thanksgiving dinner when Nicole came back to visit for the holiday. He also resurfaced when his nephew, Xander Avant, arrived in town and initially suspected the young man of hiding secrets. He also celebrated Christmas with the Forresters in 2018 and was grateful to Eric Forrester for continuing to include him and Vivienne in the family gatherings.
