Tanner Novlan on Finn’s Rivalry With Liam on B&B

Since making his debut as Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL back in July 2020, Tanner Novlan has watched his character change and evolve… and almost die! While it may appear that the greatest threat to his marriage to Steffy is his mother, Sheila, Finn is also keeping a close eye on his wife’s ex, Liam, who is definitely still in the picture!

“I think there’s a lot to explore there with Liam, especially considering his history with Steffy and the life they once shared,” Novlan admitted to Soap Opera Digest. “And, Finn’s ability to encourage Steffy to move away from all of that. Family is everything to Finn and anything that threatens that is really going to let us see a different side of Finn. That is going to be really fun to explore.”

Finn and Liam have already had plenty of heated run-ins, and one of them even led to Novlan’s favorite line of dialogue he’s uttered on the soap. “It was when Finn called Liam a little puke,” the actor chuckled. “Now, I don’t know if Scott [Clifton, Liam] appreciates that as much as I do, but it’s a good one. It’s nice to see that new dynamic between Liam and Finn.”

Of course, once Steffy returns to Los Angeles, the rivalry between Finn and Liam will only heat up more, and there’s no telling who might come out on top!
