Billy Miller Shares a Special Message With Fans

Tags:

Soap fans who loved watching Billy Miller playing Billy on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and Drew on GENERAL HOSPITAL know that the actor is not active on social media. But he did share a special video through manager Marnie Sparer to send an update to his fans. “Hello from quarantine,” he declared standing on a balcony with quite a beautiful view of California. “I hope that everybody is safe and healthy and finding a way to navigate through this trying time as best as humanly possible. As you can tell, I have the standard-issue quarantine beard and this crazy mop going on. It is what it is. It’s a new look!”

The other reason for his video message was because Y&R has spent the week of April 27 airing classic episodes celebrating the late Jeanne Cooper and her legendary character of Katherine Chancellor. “One of my most favorite people to have ever walked the face of this Earth,” Miller proclaimed, showing off a photo of them together that he still keeps on his desk. “I love this woman. I miss her dearly.

“She took a real interest in me and my career from the very beginning of Y&R,” he continued. “She would check on me all the time, call me at home out of the blue, and made sure that I was finding my way through this crazy business in the best possible way. She was the matriarch of Y&R. She truly loved all her fans, everyone she worked with. I miss her. I love her. I say we continue to celebrate her.”

Miller made his daytime debut as Richie Novak on the ABC soap ALL MY CHILDREN in 2007 before moving over to Y&R in 2008. After he left there in 2014, he went back to ABC to play a recast Jason Morgan on GH, although by the time of his exit in 2019 it was revealed that he was actually Jason’s previously-unknown twin, Drew Cain! Since leaving daytime, Miller has appeared in TV series like USA’s SUITS and Apple TV+’s TRUTH BE TOLD.

The actor closed out his video by urging his fans to “stay safe and keep watching.” And we’ll be sure to let you know wherever Miller shows up next so you can tune in and see the actor do what he does best! Watch his entire video message below!
