Chris McKenna and His Wife Lovisa Are Expecting Their First Child!
Congratulations are in order for THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Chris McKenna (ex-Mark) and his wife, Lovisa, who are expecting their first child together! “My amazing wife and (the less amazing) I have been waiting to announce this,” he shared on Instagram. “We’re very excited. Baby McKenna coming this summer!”
While Lovisa shared a briefer clip from the gender reveal video on her own Instagram, McKenna posted an extended version where he set up “the stakes” as he called them. “If it’s a girl, we have Ripley, our niece in the family already, we love her dearly, so it would be lovely to have another one of those,” the actor explained. “On the other hand, this last generation of McKennas has produced only girls. And we don’t have many chances left for the McKenna name to continue.”
After stammering on a bit more, McKenna then readied himself by plugging his ears. Lovisa prepared to strike the big balloon with the pin in her hand but paused for a quick kiss with her hubby before doing the deed. After he urged her to “do it,” she popped the balloon and they were instantly showered in pieces of blue confetti. As they celebrated, the excited father-to-be pumped his fists and joked: “The McKenna name lives on!”
McKenna got his big break playing young Joey Buchanan on ABC soap ONE LIFE TO LIVE from 1990-93, and after that appeared in television shows like TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL, THE PRACTICE, RIZOLLI & ISLES, 90210, AND STATE OF AFFAIRS as well as movies like King of the Ants, Art School Confidential, and Runaway.
From 2014-15, McKenna played Detective Mark Harding on Y&R, and in 2016, appeared on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as Dr. Hayden. More recently, the actor could be seen playing Marc Rothman on Freeform’s GOOD TROUBLE.
