Christian LeBlanc Opens up About Going Gray (EXCLUSIVE)

When THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS returned to the air after the lockdown in 2020, fans were surprised to discover that Michael Baldwin had turned into a silver fox all of a sudden! Of course, those who follow portrayer Christian LeBlanc on social media were already aware that the actor stopped dying his hair during lockdown and let it grow out with its natural color. “I gotta tell you,” he confided to Soaps In Depth, “I got such a response! And more, what surprised me, the studio loved it.”

It’s time to stop running (and failing) the diet obstacle course.

Of course, the hair color was such a drastic change that it took some getting used to, even for the guy wearing it! “I have to really look at myself on video because it’s so different to me,” LeBlanc admitted. “I’ve tried a couple of times to go gray. I had no idea it was like this underneath. Not any. So when that black line started backing up during pandemic… wow

“And it feels so good, I gotta say,” he added with a smile. “It puts you in a whole new category and I’m kind of loving it. And it’s good hair. The hairdresser told me. Ladies pay for that hair!”

Not only did Y&R love LeBlanc’s new look, but the viewers did also. Although the Emmy winner did discover that while his fans are digging the new silver fox style, it can also be a little distracting. “When I’m trying to push a charity but I’m doing it with my white hair,” he joked, “it’s 60,000 responses, 59,999 about my hair, one about the charity… which is problematic.”

Viewers should get to see plenty of Genoa City’s newest silver fox on screen now that Michael has retired from his position as D.A. and is working for Victor. We expect The Mustache will keep the attorney plenty busy!
