She shared a quick video clip of the CBS studio with her parking space in the foreground set to the opening notes of Tina Turner’s hit single “The Best.” She also wrote “Hello there!” on top of the video and captioned her post with a waving hand emoji.
Fans were naturally excited at the idea of seeing more of Jill Abbott on Y&R, especially if it means she’ll actually be there in person, not just on a Zoom call. And with Chancellor-Winters going public, that’s definitely an event Jill will want to be there for. (Especially since Nate is plotting to sabotage the whole deal so Newman can take over!)
Walton also shared a selfie that she took on set with co-star Jason Thompson (Billy) and shared some heartfelt words about her TV son. “Working with Jason is like butter,” she enthused. “Because he reminds me so much of my own son. When I need emotion, it’s right there. When I need impatience, it’s there. When I need anger… there. It really is effortless.”
Walton took over the role of Jill Abbott back in 1987, although, in recent years, she has only appeared on a recurring basis, so viewers haven’t seen nearly as much of the character as they’d like. The actress splits her time between her home in Oregon and working in California. So hopefully, she’ll be around the studio for a little while and this stint will be a substantial one. Jill is very needed right now!
