Melissa Claire Egan Welcomes Her Second Son — See the First Pics!
It seems as if Melissa Claire Egan’s baby boy couldn’t wait to meet his parents! The actress, who plays THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Chelsea and was once ALL MY CHILDREN‘s Annie, happily shared the news that she had given birth to her second son with husband Matt Katrosar on July 14, several weeks ahead of her August due date.
“Meet Jake Joseph Katrosar!” the second-time mother announced on Instagram, sharing four photos of her and Matt and their newborn taken in the hospital. Three of the pictures were seemingly taken just moments after Jake’s birth — presumably by C-section as Katrosar is wearing a hospital-issued protective jumpsuit and has his hair covered by a cap.
A fourth photo shows Jake hanging out with his Mom and Dad in Egan’s hospital room, snuggled up and contently napping on the Y&R star. “Welcome to the world, sweet boy. A few weeks early, but we’re so happy to have you and call you ours and love you forever!”
Egan and Katrosar are already parents to Caden Robert, who will celebrate his second birthday next month. The actress announced in February that she and her husband were expecting their second child. “Looks like we’re just destined to have August babies!” Egan cheered. “So grateful and excited to be adding another cub to our family of Leo baby boys. Caden’s gonna be a big brother!”
With his July 14 birthdate, Jake actually falls under the zodiac sign of Cancer, which encompasses June 21 through July 22. While Leos (represented by the lion) are known to be passionate, loyal, and dramatic, the typical personality traits of Cancers (represented by the crab) include being creative, nurturing, sensitive, and compassionate.
While Jake’s astrological sign means that the Katrosars didn’t technically get a second baby cub to add to their pack, Cancers and Leos are believed to be complementary personalities! And we’re sure that Caden will be an awesome big brother to little Jake!
