Melissa Ordway Promises: “I’m Still on Y&R”

A recent Instagram post had some fans wondering if Melissa Ordway (Abby) was leaving THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS but the actress shared another post to clear up any misconceptions! On Aug. 17, Ordway shared some photos of her and her daughters, Olivia and Sophie, playing outdoors and saying that they had recently moved to Nashville, TN, which immediately set fans buzzing! “We still live in L.A.,” she quickly reassured everyone. “We also bought some land outside Nashville and we’re building a house. We have some fun stuff coming up for you and I hope you’ll follow along!”

So since Ordway, husband Justin Gaston (ex-Ben, DAYS OF OUR LIVES), and their kids are all still living in Los Angeles, there’s no reason to fear that Abby was on her way out of Genoa City. “I’m still on Y&R,” she reported. “Thank God!” I love the show and all the amazing, talented people I get to work with! And so thankful to be back at work safely!”

Eagle-eyed fans might have noticed that the photos Ordway shared from Nashville were not recent as Olivia did not have a cast on her arm. The mom of two also finally revealed what happened to cause her daughter’s injury. “She hurt her arm by tripping over the bottom step (pictured here) and landed on her elbow,” she confided. “Her surgeon said the surgery should fix it up! She’ll have to wear the cast for an estimated four weeks.”

Ordway also apologized for not being better at answering everyone’s questions on her posts in a timely manner and promised to try and do better in the future. “I love you all,” she declared, “and thank you so much for the continued love and support!”
