THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Preempted on February 10

Once again, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS has been preempted for coverage of the ongoing presidential impeachment trial in the Senate so it will not air at all on Feb. 10. “Today’s all-new episode of Y&R has been preempted,” the soap confirmed on Twitter. “We’ll pick up right where we left off, so you don’t need to worry about missing any of the latest drama in Genoa City. Get the popcorn ready!”

The news coverage of the trial began on Feb. 9, and CBS aired an encore episode of Y&R knowing the soap would be interrupted at some point. So fans don’t have to worry that they’ve missed anything — the last new episode of Y&R was broadcast on Feb. 8, and the drama will pick up with the next episode on the next available day when the daytime television schedule is normal.

At this time, there is no way of knowing exactly how long the trial will continue and disrupt the regularly scheduled daytime programming. But keep checking back at SoapsInDepth.com as we keep you updated on all the preemptions and schedule changes. And hopefully, soap fans can get back to enjoying the fictional drama on their TV’s again very soon!
